2011: The Master’s in Management (Programme Grande École) course available entirely by e-learning
One thing is certain: EM Normandie has daring and innovation in its blood...not to mention the power to surprise. In 2011, it launches its lifelong learning Master’s in Management available entirely by e-learning: the first of its kind in Europe! It even gives a free iPad to all the trainees in the first class of the programme. I grew up using pens and inkwells, and here I am catapulted into a new world of seemingly endless possibilities.
Success is not far behind: employees and company directors see this new remote form of teaching as an opportunity to tailor the pace of their training to meet their professional duties, reduce costs and save time.
They attend lessons online by logging into a training platform whenever they like. Marketing, labour law, cost analysis or even business English - they learn the various subjects remotely thanks to videos, quizzes, interactive activities, case studies and more.
The teaching staff are clearly well-informed as well: they use Ingenium, the e-learning studio specialising in educational engineering at the Polytechnicum de Normandie, co-founded by EM Normandie and the University of Caen Basse-Normandie. A few years later, this studio will become Ingenium Digital Learning, an integral part of EM Normandie.
